Spring has sprung, and I’ve been busy over the long winter: 2018 will see the release of my new MHS album, and 2 new books from me, and a UK Tour:

The Mull Historical Society album ‘Wakelines‘ (Xtra Mile Recordings) is Produced by the fabulous Mercury Prize and Brit Award winner Bernard Butler (McAlmost & Butler, Suede) and is out in September! Bernard also performs loads on the album. I’m pretty inspired and so pleased with it – can’t wait for you to hear it. There will be a Mull Historical Society UK tour in September & October – all will be announced very soon!

My memoir about growing up on Mull and how home travels: ‘Hometown Tales: The Boy in the Bubble‘ (W&N Books/Orion), and my first children’s picture book, ‘The Humdrum Drum‘, with accompanying new music (Little Door Books) – are both published in June. MORE info coming asap.

Award-winning musician and author Colin MacIntyre (Mull Historical Society) hosts an intimate afternoon of songs, storytelling and spontaneity with musicians and paperback writers…. He’s joined by experimental composer, performer and writer Kerry Andrew, plus Mercury Prize nominated singer-songwriter (and aspiring novelist) Kathryn Williams, and journalist and bestselling author of Versions of Us and Greatest Hits, Laura Barnett. They’ll be on stage together throughout the show, trading songs and readings on themes of home and community, travelling and solitude, and exchanging insights into the creative process that leads to both the stage and the page.
